VESSEL

A physical stand-in for one real UPS: the opening device of a maquette of a data-center power chain, built toward a whole-site view instead of a wall of alarms.

The demo, in three beats

Each beat is a scene one persona would recognise as their own demo.

Data-center operator

Felt.

A power loss is built to turn into one wave of bubbles from mains to battery, the level falling, one causal chain, no reading required.

Integrator / developer

Understood.

NUT, SNMP and Home Assistant are built to see the same pulled plug within one poll, unmodified, on every transport.

Safety assessor

Trusted.

Every scripted fault is built to log a replayable, time-stamped trail; each logged parameter is designed to walk back to its row in the reference spec, some rows still provisional.

What VESSEL is, and is not

CAD render of the VESSEL enclosure, front view: the round bezel with its circular display window, empty for now, and the rear-plate connector cutouts visible through it

Is.

The maquette's opening device, built toward a whole-site view in familiar metaphors: bubbles for pressure and flow, air for level; safety evidence made cheaper.

CAD render of the VESSEL enclosure, rear view: the rear plate with RJ45, USB, RS-232 and EPO cutouts and its four corner screw-clearance holes

Is not.

Not an alerting product. Not certified. Not backup power for a real load. Not shipped: today, a design and a lab bench.

Where this stands

Today, VESSEL is a set of design documents and a lab bench — not a shipped device. The renders above are of a v0 enclosure design, not photos of a built unit.
